Rüdiger Lohlker
Rüdiger Lohlker is a Professor of Islamic Studies at the Oriental Institute, University of Vienna (Austria) since 2003; Head of a training course for Imams, a training course for prison Imams and Imams in Hospitals, University of Vienna (Austria), 2010-2020; teaching at the universities of Göttingen, Kiel, and Gießen (all Germany), Xi’an (PR China), Yogyakarta (Indonesia) and others; worked as a database consultant in Rabat (Morocco).
Main research fields: Modern Islamic movements, Jihadism, history of Islamic thought, Islam and Arab world online, history of sciences
